"Prior to being the General Manager of a growing small business, I was a Human Resource Consultant for 14 years.  As a Human Resource Consultant I was continually frustrated that the software tools out there in the marketplace were either too inflexible, tried to achieve too much, were way too costly for the value they provided or were not easy to use or design.  Quite often, to achieve the outcomes I required, I ended up designing complex excel spreadsheets to gather the information I needed, which was an extremely time consuming, fiddly and non-robust approach to data collection. 

From my perspective, the key to making any business decision is obtaining the right information, the Taylored Business System allows me to create a robust and customised tool to collect the information I need.  As a business we are currently in the process of applying the Taylored Business System to conducting competency and skill assessments of all our staff, which in turn will guide the decisions we make as a business about individual and business training and development, employee career paths, business strategy and expenditure budgets.  The tool we have created has been relatively easy to design and based on some initial testing should be easy to implement.
